Liam Graham

EXECUTIVE Director

Liam joined NVest Securities in January 2016 as a Portfolio Manager for both local and offshore portfolios. Prior to NVest, Liam spend 3 years in Cape Town running his own propriety investment firm, Injasuti Investments. Before than he spent 11 years working in London focused mainly on US equities for several firms including, Macquarie, Wells Fargo, Wachovia & Prudential Financial. Before entering the Capital Markets business Liam was a professional cricketer in South Africa & UK for 7 years. Liam is a CFA charter holder and has Bachelor degrees in Finance and Sports Science/Physical Education.

Anthony Godwin

EXECUTIVE Director

Anthony has over 30 years’ experience within the Financial Services industry and originally served as Managing Director and a leading financial advisor of NFB Private Wealth Management, the core and original company within the NVest group of companies. Anthony was appointed as Managing Director of NFB Finance Brokers Eastern Cape (Pty) Limited (trading as NFB Private Wealth Management) in 2004 and of the NVest Group in 2008 upon its formation. Anthony is now the Group Chief Executive Officer of NVest Financial Holdings Limited, giving overall strategic direction and leadership to the Group of companies. Anthony also sits on the Boards of a number of subsidiary companies within the Group. Anthony is a member of the Financial Planning Institute and the Institute of Financial Markets. Anthony is also an active member of Rotary and is a past president of the East London Golf Club.

Gavin Ramsay

EXECUTIVE Director

Gavin joined NFB Private Wealth Management and the financial services industry in 1993. Gavin serves as a member of the Investment Committee of NFB Asset Management and as a Key Individual in terms of NFB’s FAIS licenses. Gavin also sits on the boards of the subsidiary companies within NVest Financial Holdings and is a material member of the Executive Management team. Gavin is a member of the Institute of Financial Markets.

Brendan Connellan

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Brendan started his career with NFB Private Wealth Management, now a subsidiary of the NVest Financial Holdings Group, and has over 20 years of experience in the Financial Services industry. During Brendan’s career he has served the Group in various key roles including as Group Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Compliance and Group Company Secretary. Brendan is also the Group’s designated Anti-Money Laundering Officer and Head of the Employment Equity Committee and sits on the Boards of several subsidiary companies within the Group. Brendan is also the Chairperson of an Eastern Cape based NGO that specialises in Early Childhood Development. Brendan was appointed to the Board with effect from 20 August 2018. Brendan continues to perform various services to the Group, but on an outsourced basis.

Tony Hadley

Stockbroker and Portfolio Manager

Tony joined NVest securities almost 35 years ago in July 1987 as Office Manager/Client advisor, later Portfolio Manager. Prior to NVest Tony was a Manager at ABSA for 4 years. Before ABSA Tony worked for Standard Chartered Bank in Zimbabwe for 10 years covering almost all of the departments leaving as Branch Accountant in 1983. Prior to that 2 years in an Accounting firm. Between the years 1985 to 1988, Tony completed his Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) and the Institute of Bankers (AIBS).

Tracy Bouwer

Portfolio Manager

Tracy joined the Frankel Kruger Vinderine Team in November 1989, the origin of NVest Securities. Her role transitioned from an Administrator to Trader under the head stockbroker Andy Russell at that time. 33 Years later Tracy’s role has developed across all facets. In addition to her current role as a Portfolio Manager Tracy also heads the administrative team at NVest Securities. Her broad knowledge and experience make her an invaluable team member.

Mandy Waterson

Head of SA Equities

Mandy joined NVest Securities in January 2011 shortly after completing her Honours degree in Economics at Rhodes University. Starting out as a Trainee Portfolio Manager by assisting the head stock broker at that time, Andy Russell, in addition to learning the ins and outs of the brokerage business from the team, she gained a holistic view of NVest Securities. In November 2014 Mandy was admitted as a practicing stockbroker and member of the South African Institute of Stockbrokers. Mandy is a CFA® Charterholder.

Kevin Evans

Portfolio Manager

Kevin joined the NVest team early in 2021, with 22 years’ experience as a Stockbroking – Portfolio Manager, having worked in the dealing rooms of both large institutional corporates as well as small boutique JSE Member firms. Private Client Portfolios have always been the focus of attention, including Trusts and in particular Charitable Trusts requiring high income for distribution.

Anda recently joined NVest Securities as a senior Portfolio Manager and member of the investment committee. He brings plenty of energy and experience with him, having spent the last 8 years managing portfolios at Personal Trust in Cape Town. Anda has a BCom Economics degree from UCT and is currently a CFA level 3 candidate.
